Naomi Sayers, of the Bars of Ontario and Alberta, is an Indigenous lawyer serving clients all across Ontario with a growing practice in Alberta. She regularly receives inquiries from across Canada through referrals, social media and regular communication methods (email, phone, etc.).

With the current COVID-19 situation, she recognizes Indigenous communities' right to self-govern. However, she has concerns around suspected and likely Charter violations or procedural unfairness concerning enforcement of COVID-19 related offences in or around First Nations’ territories.

As the COVID-19 situation continues, Naomi is making herself available on a pro bono basis for individuals charged with COVID-19 related offences in or around First Nations’ territories.
